(MAR 3) Tonight (Japan Timeline) at the Korakuen Hall, in Tokyo, Japan, Olivia "Predator" Gerula, 59.3kg, of Canada defeated Japan's Fujin Raika [aka: Emiko Raika], 60.0kg, by an eight round split decision.The Predator was able to pull out the split decision victory over the hometown favorite by scores of 78-77, 78-76, and 76-77.
WBAN was told, "In what was scored a close fight. Team Gerula feels there was a much bigger gap and while taking the brunt of several unintentional head butts remained focus on their objective to out box and not get caught in wild exchanges.
The Predator was able to get the punches off first and used lateral movement to take away Raika's aggressiveness and power."
